Rick Genest, the Canadian born ''Zombie boy'' as he is most commonly known, is the new face of MUGLER's premier men's collection and the Muse of creative director Nicola Formichetti. ''Zombie boy'' is covered head to foot in anatomical tattoos featuring bones and muscle structures. In the black and white images, he looks like a Zombie Prince in a tuxedo and in leather pants. Shocking and bizarre these images are meant to revolutionize fashion photography. Enjoy the Freshthanamug black and white photography and please appreciate Rick's individuality… 'Cause lets face it, there isn't a whole lot of it going on these days!!!

Freshthanamug Loft Of The Week
Our L.O.T.W. is designed and owned by well-known designer Steven Volpe, the loft situated on 355 Bryant St, San Francisco, California (that's right, we know where you live… So let us in if you hear us knocking), displays surprising 18′ ceilings that draw natural light in and allow the inhabitants to feel like they are living in a grand open space. Eight redwood timber columns dominate the interiors and continue up to the ceiling to create an imposing atmosphere. The beautiful combination of exposed brick and conservatory windows give the place a feeling of home without denying the owner his/her freedom. Glass doors leading out to a private courtyard connect the inside to the outside, while the upstairs bedroom with full bath offers the owner a relaxing private space. Custom built-ins and an exceptional selection of furniture create a modern living space. While we love every Freshtanamug loft that we've inhabited over our years here in S.F. we have to admit this might be the best we've seen in awhile!!!
Ron English ‘Zarkana’ Print
One of our favorite artist Ron English has collaborated with Cirque Du Soleil for their latest show based out of New York. Ron chose the Jovian character as the centrepiece for his Zarkana™ creation and inspired himself with Edvard Munch’s “The Scream”. We love his play on the "The Scream" and hope that perhaps he produces a Freshthanamug character from it. We'll keep our fingers crossed.

NBA 2K12 Covers
2K Sports just revealed the covers for the highly anticipated game, NBA 2K12. They have decided to continue with the old school theme, this time featuring 3 of the G.O.A.Timers Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and that cat with the baggy shorts, six rings and failed baseball career… (Sorry Mike, we still haven't forgiven you for denying Chi-Town 8 in a row). The artwork is incredible and of course NBA 2K is always Freshthanamug so we can't wait to get our hands on a copy.

Ferrari World Design Contest
Awhile ago, Ferrari hosted a competition which they dubbed the World Design Contest, a year-long project to single out seven finalists from a myriad of participants, all of whom designed unique, futuristic concept cars for the famous Italian supercar brand. Now, courtesy of Cool Hunting, we have some images straight from the Ferrari HQ in Maranello of the final seven designs, some of which we have images of here. Take a look and you'll agree that the future(?) of the famed brand is indeed Freshthanamug!!!
Gucci x Medicom Toy 90th Anniversary Bearbrick
Offered up is a preview of an upcoming collaboration between Italian fashion house Gucci and Japanese toymaker Medicom Toy. Produced in celebration of Gucci’s 90th anniversary, Medicom’s Bearbrick is spotted in what seems like a 400% size, donning iconic brand elements amongst a glossy black colorway. This will most definitely be the next Freshthanamug addition we make to our desk and we're sure they'll go fast so get on it quick!!!

ELECTRIC PEUGEOT EX1
To celebrate its 200 years of existence, Peugeot decided to create something that was truly worthy of this special day. If we combine the best of current technology with a design that seems to have left the movie Tron or Batman, we get the concept car Peugeot EX1. The EX1 is currently the world´s fastest electric car recently beating the record that the Mini E had already established in the German Nurburgring circuit. We thought it looked like a drop top version of the Batmobile in "Batman Begins" but that's okay because we thought that design was Freshthanamug as this one!!!
House in Somosaguas by A-cero
From the architect: At the time of designing the house, we wanted to find a differentiator, from the first moment the house clearly shows its intentions, and risky stylized forms, thanks to a subtle handling of curves that match harmoniously with their natural context without sacrificing a distinctly modern look. Horizontal lines dominate volumes, which are superimposed in layers, from a partially visible basement, forming layers that appear to emerge naturally from the ground.
The lines outside and inside of the house are trying to produce sculptural volumes, in fact A-Cero architecture is largely inspired by the great sculptures of contemporary artists like Richard Serra and David Nash and land art. Art and Architecture have gone hand in hand in this and all our projects.
And in our humble opinion the end result is spectacularly Freshthanamug!!!

Senegalese Wrestlers by Denis Rouvre
2010 Word Photography Organization winner Denis Rouvre has photographed the strong bodies, the tense, perpetually defiant faces of the wrestling apprentices of the suburbs of Dakar. These apprentices belong to one of 77 stables and they practice this uniquely subtle mix of traditional wrestling and bare-fist boxing on a daily basis. Here everyone aspires to become a living god. Nothing less. In the dark training rooms or on the beaches of the Dakar suburbs, where youngsters train themselves in Senegalese wrestling they come every night with this dream in mind, ready to take a beating. We must say Mr. Rouvre has captured these incredible athletes beautifully in these more than Freshthanamug photographs. Simply amazing!!!

Jaguar E-Type Scupture by Gerry Judah
This 28 metre-high steel sculpture of the Jaguar E-Type car was designed by Gerry Judah for the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which took place in Sussex, UK, last weekend. Made from half a kilometre of steel tubing with a diameter of 1.2 metres, the sculpture weighs over 175 tonnes and shows the car balanced on its front bumper. Guess it's time to take a trip across the pond because this masterpiece is seriously Freshthanamug!!!

In their latest team-up, CLOT and Disney unite on the Travelling Mickey project which brings into the fold ten notable artists from around the world. Among the personalities involved include André, Makoto Azuma, Carri Munden of Cassette Playa, CLOT, Dr. Romanelli, Eric So, Jakuan, Motonori Masui, Madsaki, Mister Cartoon and with a line-up this dope the results couldn't help but be Freshthanamug!!!

The extremely vivid portraits of Francoise Nielly.
Françoise Nielly’s massive, colorful portraits are delicious to look at. Even more wonderful – and particularly infuriating to those of us who have timidly dabbled in painting – is to watch her create them. In a beautiful video posted on her site, she, in her confident, strong hand, wields her painting knife shaped like a miniature garden trowel, and makes painting look easy like cake frosting. She paints her vivid, passionate canvases — some as large as 78 x 25 inches (195 x 62 centimeters) -- from black-and-white photos, further proof of her unfailing ability to interpret light, shadow, hue and tone by applying brilliant colors and daring strokes. Checkout more of Françoise Nielly’s Freshthanamug work at http://www.francoise-nielly.com/
