Freshthanamug Artist SIT has been part of the Amsterdam creative scene for many years. Doing action painting, graphic design, advertising and more until he got fed up. He went back to square one to find his true essence. With ‘Noir’ Sit returns to his bold black & whites, examining the troubled relation between the animal kingdom and mankind even closer. The result is a haunting series that is simultaneously sexy and morbid. The sensual textures of fur and feathers are juxtaposed with pale animal skulls and soft female curves to illustrate the malicious blackness gnawing away at the edges of our sense of beauty.

Ferrari 340 Competizione
Taking a classic car and making it look modern is one thing, but it’s definitely something else to make a new car to look like a classic. This concept’s been pulled off with the Ferrari 340 Competizione, that’s been built to pay homage to the 1952 Ferrari 340 Mexico. Having been limited to only three examples, the Competizione is a one-off that started as a Ferrari 456 GT and kept its 470hp, 5.4L V12 and six-speed manual. Added features along development included new aerodynamics, suspension, brakes, an interior and aluminum bodywork, with modern detailing that’s reminiscent of the 340 Mexico. Sorry, only one photo but when something's this Freshthanamug one is all you need!!!

Nakahouse by XTEN Architecture
Nakahouse is an abstract remodel of a 1960′s hillside home located on a West facing ridge in the Hollywood Hills, just below the Hollywood sign. To the South and West are views of the Beechwood Canyon; to the East is a protected natural ravine, with a view of Griffith Park Observatory in the distance.Speaking of the Conservatory, we're sure the telescopes are trained on Nakahouse as it has to be as Freshthanamug as anything the heavens have to offer… Simply stunning!!!

Alexa Meade's Amazing REAL Life Paintings
Alexa Meade is an installation artist based in the Washington, DC area who thinks completely backwards. Most artists use acrylic paints to create portraits of people on canvas, Ms. Meade applies acrylic paints on her subjects and makes them appear to be a part of the painting! Her innovative use of paint on the three dimensional surfaces of found objects, live models, and architectural spaces has been incorporated into a series of installations that create a perceptual shift in how we experience and interpret spatial relationships. Her work is some of THE most creative we've seen and most officially Freshthanamug!!! Enjoy!!! And close your mouth when you're done…

Sexy House by Chien Wang Yang
Taiwanese photographer Chien Wang Yang sure has a very unique idea about what fun around the house means. Sexy young ladies, in different parts of the house, playing around in a very pop and colorful world. Not your usual childhood memory, but Freshthanamug none the less right???

Highlights From Alexander McQueen Retrospective, "Savage Beauty" Pt. 1
From May 4 through August 7th, The Metropolitan Museum of Art featured an impressive exhibit of the innovative fashions of the late Alexander McQueen. The exhibition, organized by The Costume Institute, celebrated the talented and sorely missed Alexander McQueen’s extraordinary contributions to fashion. From his Central Saint Martins postgraduate collection of 1992 to his final runway presentation, which took place after his death in February 2010, Mr. McQueen challenged and expanded the understanding of fashion beyond utility to a conceptual expression of culture, politics, and identity. We were fortunate enough to make it to this Freshthanamug designer's exhibit in early May and were blown away not only by his extraordinary creations but by the way the exhibit was put together from the dark almost haunted house like rooms, to the music and the atmospheric sounds throughout. Here are just a few of the more unusual and striking pieces in the exhibit and you can find more on the website. Enjoy!!!

Armani Hotel in Dubai
Situated in the highest tower of the world Burj Khalifa, the Armani Hotel Dubai is one of the most luxurious hotels ever. The hotel is located on eleven floors of Burj Khalifa tower. Exquisite guests have an access to a number of restaurants, spas, saloons or a night club. The entire interior has been designed by Giorgo Armani himself. As for the architecture, Wilson Associates were assigned to create this unique design. Of course all used materials are luxurious: wood, cloth, stone etc. Now anything attached to the Armani name has to be Freshthanamug… As for the staying price, not so much, to spend a night in this exquisite hotel would cost you 2400 dollars per night!!!

2012 Growler E | 21st Century Jaguar E-type
The Jaguar E-Type´s 50th anniversary is in 2011, and many still admire the stunning lines of the car. Swedish design firm Visualtech, is one of those admirers and decided to create an E-Type for the 21st century. The tribute, called the Growler 2011 Concept, is what you see above. The concept is clearly inspired by the famous Jaguar, but we can also see certain lines of the Chevrolet Corvette. Visualtech decided to build a very short series run of the cars. You can expect to pay nearly $700,000 if they make a series run, and closer to $1.4 million if they only make a few but you have to admit that this beauty is Freshthanamug at any price!!!
First Look At Marvel Avengers Movie Posters
We got a chance to see the new Captain America movie this weekend (we'll give it an 8, the acting was decent and the cinematography was excellent but the story? Eh…). Then after waiting for the credits to end which seemed about as long as the movie itself, they showed the trailer for the upcoming Marvel Avengers movie. It was most definitely well worth the wait and with stars like Scarlet Johansson, Samuel Jackson, Robert Downy Jr. and the big dude that played Thor… (Did we mention Scarlet Johansson?) It should be THE Freshthanamug film of the year!!! But until then enjoy the posters…

A Look Into Nike CEO Mark Parker's Office Pt. 1
Dag!!! I thought my office and collection of toys and everything random was Freshthanamug, but I had to think again after checking Mr. Parker's office out. It's going to be difficult, but try to control your envy. The Nike CEO is an avid art collector and has been with the Swoosh for 30 years, which has led to this extensive collection of sneakers and Nike-inspired pieces. If this isn’t motivation to make those Freshthanamug dollars, then what is??? Oh, and this is only part 1, stay tuned for more to come from a real boss…

Freshthanamug Loft Of The Week
For our L.O.T.W. named the SmallBigAP in Portugal, the client wanted to live in the Porto area, near to his office and the city economic center, but couldn't find a place considered suitable for its taste and lifestyle. An aquaintance informed him of a vacant apartment in this building: a 3 bedroom apartment, plus one small room, 3 bathrooms, small kitchen, living area. The private and public areas are mixed, the internal space, even if with good area, is very compartmented, seeming quite small. The only rule: the living area must be completely open, capable of being partially enclosed if some privacy is needed and has to face west, the river view. Metroquadrado Arquitectura took on the assignment and (we my be a bit bias as with a have a great love for all things black and white) the end result is a Freshthanamug interior more than deserving of L.O.T.W. status!!!
